When you think of the attributes or personality traits an “Employee of the Month” should possess, most everyone would agree to several key descriptions; good work ethic, goes above and beyond what they are asked to do, comes to work every day, is punctual, very nice and personable.  It is difficult to find someone who not only possesses these traits, but personifies them on a daily basis.

            Gonzo Roman has not been an employee of Comanche County very long, but he has made a tremendous impact on those he comes in contact with on a daily basis.  Gonzo never meets a stranger and always greets you with a smile.  His emphatic personality and happiness become contagious.  Not only does Gonzo fulfill his normal job duties, but he always goes above and beyond the normal expectations.  In addition, after the completion of each job he comes back to follow up and make sure nothing else is needed. 

Jeanette Runnels has been an employee with Comanche County for the past 5+ years (11+ years total over two periods).  She has the busiest role in her office as her duties include, but are not limited to, meeting agendas and minutes, appropriations, purchase orders and IRS reports.

Her nomination stated, “She works hard to make sure purchase orders are ready to pay, writes them and keeps a record of them.  She types the meeting agendas and proceedings each week.  Even though she may be swamped, she gets stopped every few minutes by someone who needs help.  She is always more than willing to help them and still manages to get all of her work done too.  She does all of this with a smile on her face.”
