The main objective/concern of the PIO is the safety of the public and ensuring the information release is accurate, timely and easy to understand. The PIO is responsible for management and coordination of media activities. To act as liaison between agency department heads/chiefs, or their spokespersons, government officials and the media. Serves as primary contact for anyone who wants information about an incident and the response to it.
Amy McGlone has been a resident of Comanche County for the past two years. She is currently a senior at Cameron University finishing up the requirements for a Bachelor’s in Strategic Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in English. Amy has a dog, a cat, a bunny, and two guinea pigs and she lives in Lawton with her children and her Prince Charming.
In her spare time, she loves camping & boating at Lake Waurika and Texoma. She loves to read and hopes to one day finish her manuscript for self-publication. She is an avid photographer and enjoys hiking through the refuge to take photos.
