November 17: Southwest Oklahoma COVID-19 Weekly Report


DISTRICT 5 - Southwest Oklahoma reported 287 new cases of COVID-19 and 5 new deaths during the past week, according to the latest Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) Epidemiology and Surveillance Report for Nov. 7 to Nov. 13. The week before (Oct. 31 - Nov. 6), southwest Oklahoma reported 244 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths.


Statistics for the State of Oklahoma:

• 5,507 new COVID-19 cases were reported during the past week.

• 76 deaths were reported in the past week in Oklahoma.

• 954 COVID-19 total hospital admissions in the last 30 days in Oklahoma.

• 78.5% (749) of hospital admissions in Oklahoma during the last 30 days were non-vaccinated. 4.6% (44) were partially vaccinated. 16.9% (161) were fully vaccinated.

• 65.5% of new COVID-19 cases and 18.7% of new hospitalizations are from people who are 44 years of age and younger.

• Oklahoma currently ranks 9th in the cumulative death rate (per 100,000) of reported COVID-19 cases in the U.S.
